David Hockney

Cubism is a style and art movement which uses simple geometric shapes in order to later collage multiple similar photos to create a new image.

David Hockney is an artist born in 1937, mainly starting his artwork at around the mid to end 20th century. The art he creates represents the idea of structuring photos without using more common techniques, but makes them look realistic to capture the main subject of the image.

My Interpretation - Hockney Joiner

In order to recreate Hockney's work, I used a method of doing the Hockney Joiner in order to create a similar effect to his own work. To do this, I used the rectangular marquee tool on photoshop to crop different areas of the original image, then moved them around slightly to make them off centre.
